In its ninth year partnering with the Freeride World Tour, Alpina leans fully into its mountain heritage with a fresh take on the Alpiner Extreme Automatic. The new FWT Special Edition feels right at home in the high alpine: youthful, rugged, and shaped by the same appetite for steep lines that draws freeriders to Switzerland’s peaks year after year. The shared triangular summit emblem reinforces that kinship and sets the tone for the watch’s character.
At 39 × 40.5 mm, the compact case returns in a stony grey that recalls alpine rock, now featuring an embossed FWT crest for the first time. A black rubber strap keeps things anchored in the outdoors, while the AL 525 automatic calibre delivers a reliable 38 hour reserve. The dial carries the Freeride World Tour’s clean mountain track logo, a simple and striking symbol that instantly conjures fresh snow and untouched descents.
Alpina backs the design with practical substance. Mirror polished flanks, satin brushed surfaces, a rubber gripped crown and 200 metres of water resistance ensure the watch is ready for gloves, snow and summer water sessions alike.
