BA111OD and Geneva-based custom specialist Label Noir have teamed up to create the CHPTR_Δ.5 Label Noir Limited Edition, a bold reinterpretation of BA111OD’s signature complication, now dressed in matte and gloss black with sharp green accents. Limited to just 111 numbered pieces, this collaboration combines the Neuchâtel brand’s mechanical ingenuity with Label Noir’s flair for contemporary personalization. The result is a sleek, stealthy timepiece that plays with light and contrast while retaining the hypnotic hypocycloidal hour display that made CHPTR_Δ such a standout.
The hour is marked by a luminous green dot tracing a triangular path within the dial, while minutes are read traditionally. It’s not just visually arresting, but deeply symbolic. This irregular yet precise movement reflects BA111OD founder Thomas Baillod’s fascination with time as an emotional experience, how some moments rush by while others seem to stretch out. The design, once again guided by Senior Designer Liliane Murenzi, combines asymmetry, transparency, and layering to elevate the experience, while the textile strap with matching green stitching keeps things grounded and wearable.
Powering it all is the BA111OD 09310 module, designed with watchmaker Olivier Mory and assembled in-house in Neuchâtel. The watch also features the brand’s signature NFC-enabled sapphire crystal, allowing wearers to share digital information with a simple scan. With this piece, BA111OD continues to challenge traditional Swiss watchmaking, delivering a new way to read and relate to time through a complication that feels as philosophical as it is mechanical.
