The Roadmaster Pilot GMT series by BALL Watch Company features two notable technical advancements designed for modern travelers. These include quick-set buttons that allow the local 12-hour hand to adjust without stopping the seconds hand and a quick-jump date function that sets the date without cycling the hour hand. Additionally, the watch has a virtually scratchproof ceramic bezel, bright micro gas lights, and chronometer-grade precision, making it an ideal travel companion.

This limited edition series of only 1,000 pieces, features outstanding luminosity due to BALL’s unique tritium gas technology, which provides an extraordinary glow in darkness. The luminosity is further enhanced by Super-LumiNova coating on the ceramic bezel, ensuring three time zones can be read easily in total darkness. The quick-set buttons at 8 and 10 o’clock enable the local time to jump backward or forward in one-hour increments without affecting the other hands, while the triangular-tipped GMT hand remains unchanged, indicating the home or reference time.

The quick-jump date function adds to the watch’s convenience. The traditional crown at 3 o’clock allows the date of the local time zone to be changed without the need to circle the dial with the local 12-hour hand. This function ensures that the date automatically advances when the local 12-hour hand crosses midnight. Manual date adjustment using the crown is only necessary in months with less than 31 days or when the local 12-hour hand is moved backward.

Ball Watch Roadmaster Pilot GMT Meteorite

BALL, founded in 1891 by Webster Clay Ball in Cleveland, Ohio, has its roots in precision and reliability. After a catastrophic train collision in Kipton, Ohio, due to a faulty timepiece, Ball was appointed Chief Time Inspector. He established strict timekeeping standards for railroad chronometers, ensuring synchronized and accurate watches that revolutionized railroad safety.

Known for their rugged, functional designs, BALL became a symbol of reliability under adverse conditions. The brand pioneered innovations like anti-magnetic cases, shock resistance, and luminescent dials. Today, BALL continues its legacy of durability and precision, making modern timepieces with a nod to its railroad heritage.
