The BENRUS #3061 BU carries real pedigree. Born in the 1960s as a civilian take on the military-issued DTU-2AP field watch, it quietly stepped into the spotlight thanks to Steve McQueen. In Bullitt (1968), the King of Cool wore it through high-speed chases and tense standoffs, cementing the #3061 as a piece of understated cinematic history. Unlike flashier timepieces of the era, it was simple, rugged, and effortlessly cool, just like McQueen himself.

For 2025, BENRUS revisits the icon with a thoughtful reissue that respects the past while refining the details. The dial keeps its no-nonsense field watch aesthetic, but the case grows to a contemporary 39.5mm without losing its vintage soul. Slim at 9.95mm and stretching 47mm lug to lug, it wears comfortably while still feeling substantial. The vertical-brushed mid-case contrasts nicely with polished accents, while a double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating brings modern durability without sacrificing vintage charm.

Inside, the upgrades continue with the Swiss-made ETA 2892 automatic movement, offering a smooth 42-hour power reserve and visible through a sapphire exhibition caseback. BW G9 Super-LumiNova illuminates the dial markers and hands, and the 10 ATM water resistance makes it more versatile than the original. Paired with a stainless steel bracelet, it’s exactly as it should be, quietly confident. This isn’t a loud, attention-grabbing reissue; it’s for those who appreciate subtle details, authentic history, and design that doesn’t try too hard.

Your Benrus order is shipped free of charge with DHL or FedEx. Once your order has been processed and prepared for shipment, you will receive an order confirmation. Your Benrus watch will be shipped within 3 to 5 business days after that. Please note that the delivery period for when you receive your order can vary. In such cases, we will proactively update you on your order status as soon as possible.

Except in Switzerland, all Benrus timepieces are shipped via DAP service, meaning the purchase price does not include customs duties and VAT. In the USA timepieces are shipped without sales tax. To confirm the delivery of your Benrus watch, an adult signature is required. Please note that international shipments may also be subject to cross-border inspections by customs authorities.

Returns

If you’re not thoroughly satisfied with your order, you can return Benrus products purchased on The Watch Pages within 14 days of the delivery date. Customers are responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping.

Please note that Benrus products must be in original, unused condition with all tags, stickers, accessories, and documentation intact, including the original Benrus and delivery package. Returns will not be accepted if the product shows signs of wear or has been altered. Please note that only the value of the goods will be refunded and that we cannot refund any bank charges or currency conversion fees.
