Bremont adds fresh energy to its Terra Nova line with the new Terra Nova Jumping Hour in 904L steel. A 38mm field watch that marries utilitarian design with a dash of horological flair. It’s a modern take on the montre à guichet, executed with the crisp lines and rugged charm that have come to define the Terra Nova collection.
The Jumping Hour made its debut in 2024 with a bronze case, which sold out almost immediately. This new iteration swaps bronze for corrosion-resistant 904L steel, giving it a sharper, more contemporary edge. Inside ticks the Bremont calibre BC634, a jumping-hour movement developed with Sellita that advances the hour disk in a clean snap, no lag, no hesitation.
Design-wise, it’s classic Terra Nova: a geometric cushion-shaped case, short lugs, and a dial that keeps things purposeful. Apertures reveal the jumping hours and minutes, while a sweeping seconds hand nods to old-school compasses and field instruments. Available on a steel bracelet or a brown leather strap, it feels like a tool watch with just enough polish to cross over into everyday wear. As CEO Davide Cerrato puts it, “It’s as tough as any Bremont—and it makes a statement without trying too hard.”
