With the Space Timer Black Hole, Chronoswiss continues its confident exploration of the cosmos, pushing the Space Timer collection into darker and more introspective territory. Following celestial themed predecessors inspired by the Moon, Jupiter, and the Sun, this latest chapter turns its gaze toward the most enigmatic phenomenon of all. The result is a watch that channels both scientific fascination and theatrical watchmaking with unmistakable intent.
The tone is set by a 44mm DLC coated black case that frames a dial designed to feel immersive. Manufactured in the Chronoswiss atelier in Lucerne, the dial centers on a hand guilloché interpretation of a black hole’s singularity, drawing the eye inward. Surrounding it are 17 layers of nano printing based on imagery from NASA, creating remarkable depth and a sense of cosmic scale. At six o’clock, a titanium moon phase appears suspended at the edge of the event horizon, adding a subtle narrative tension.
Beneath the dial, the C.308 automatic movement provides a 42 hour power reserve, reinforcing the watch’s technical credibility. Limited to 50 pieces, the Space Timer Black Hole reflects Chronoswiss’ ongoing commitment to expressive design, mechanical openness, and a willingness to venture where traditional watchmaking rarely dares.
