History of Chronoswiss

Chronoswiss was founded in 1983 in Munich, Germany, by Gerd-Rudiger Lang. The history of Chronoswiss began when Lang, who had previously worked as a watchmaker for brands like Heuer and Omega, decided to start his own company. He wanted to create watches that were both technically advanced and aesthetically appealing, and he was determined to do so using only the finest materials and components.

One of Chronoswiss’s early successes was the Régulateur, a watch that featured a unique dial design with a separate minute hand and hour subdial. The Régulateur quickly became popular among collectors and enthusiasts, and it remains a signature model in the Chronoswiss lineup to this day.

Over the years, Chronoswiss has continued to innovate and push the boundaries of watchmaking. The company has introduced numerous new models and collections, including the Sirius, the Timemaster, and the Grand Regulateur. In recent years, the brand has moved to Lucerne in Switzerland.

In addition to its own timepieces, Chronoswiss has also worked with other brands and designers to create limited-edition watches and special editions. One of the most notable collaborations was with the German carmaker BMW, which resulted in a series of Chronoswiss watches that featured design elements inspired by BMW’s cars.
