Frederique Constant has introduced two new additions to its Classics Premiere collection, available in this year’s signature colours: blue and salmon. These models retain the refined 38.5mm case size but debut a fluid, polished steel case and bracelet combination, offering a sleeker, more contemporary feel than earlier leather-strap editions. Designed to suit both men and women, the watches are positioned as versatile daily wearers.
The dials highlight a return to softer, pastel tones that have gained popularity at recent watch fairs, praised for their understated elegance and nostalgic link to the 1950s and 60s. Vintage design cues abound: Arabic numerals in a classic twentieth-century typeface, pomme-style hands rooted in 18th-century tradition, and a “railtrack” minute circle inspired by Art Deco watches of the 1920s. Frederique Constant has elevated the aesthetic further with a two-part dial finish, a matte-grained centre that plays with the light, and a surrounding sunray ring around the hour markers.
Completing the look is a new five-link steel bracelet that combines flexibility with polished surfaces, matching the shine of the case, hands, and numerals. A sapphire caseback reveals the automatic FC-301 calibre, derived from the respected La Joux-Perret movement, which delivers precision and a robust 68-hour power reserve. The result is a pair of watches that honour Geneva’s traditional watchmaking codes while adding an urban edge.
