Jaeger-LeCoultre revisits one of its most poetic complications with a fresh take on the Master Hybris Artistica Calibre 945. Limited to just five pieces, the new model pairs a deep midnight-blue enamel dial with an 18K pink gold case, bringing a warm glow to an already celestial composition. It’s a showcase of the Manufacture’s dual talents: artistic craftsmanship through its Métiers Rares™ atelier, and mechanical virtuosity through the legendary Calibre 945, a movement combining a real-time star chart, minute repeater, and the distinctive flying Cosmotourbillon.
The redesigned dial adds a striking visual twist. A golden “Atomium” lattice structure traces the constellations, encircling the domed enamel sky at the centre. This sculptural framework gives new depth to the display, enhancing the sense of motion as the Cosmotourbillon completes its anti-clockwise rotation every sidereal day , a nod to the stars above the Vallée de Joux. The result feels both technical and poetic, an open window to the heavens.
Completing the performance is Jaeger-LeCoultre’s hallmark chiming expertise. The minute repeater, enhanced with cathedral gongs and trébuchet hammers, delivers a clear, resonant sound. Elegant, intricate, and unmistakably Grande Maison, the Calibre 945 remains one of the most complete expressions of celestial watchmaking today.
