The Laurent Ferrier Classic Auto Horizon marks the return of an icon—this time in a cool, horizon-blue dial. Once a limited Série Atelier piece, the Classic Auto now secures its place in the permanent collection, unveiled for Watches and Wonders 2025. Encased in a 40mm stainless steel case inspired by 19th-century pocket watches, its flowing, pebble-like silhouette is timeless, while the new dial adds a serene and contemporary twist to the classic design.
Powered by the LF270.01 calibre, the Classic Auto Horizon features a self-winding movement with a micro-rotor, originally developed for the brand’s sportier models. It combines everyday practicality—a 72-hour power reserve and a date function—with haute horlogerie finishing that reflects Laurent Ferrier’s watchmaking roots. With an oscillating weight in 950 platinum and over 139 manual finishing operations, the movement is as technically impressive as it is visually striking.
The translucent blue lacquer dial features a vertically brushed center and a snailed small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock, evoking a sense of calm precision. White gold Assegai hands and drop indices root the design in tradition, while the bold date aperture—framed in dark blue—adds a sharp, modern edge. Blending motorsport spirit with classical elegance, the Classic Auto Horizon is a piece that looks ahead without forgetting its past.
