Patek Philippe revisits the Gondolo Serata with the new Ref. 4962/200R “Zebra”, a captivating blend of Art Deco elegance and playful modernity. First introduced in 2006, the Serata has always stood apart with its soft curves and evening-watch charm. This latest version, in rose gold and alive with spessartite gemstones, brings a wilder streak to the collection, quite literally, with a zebra motif dial unlike anything the maison has done before.
Inspired by the 2022 Golden Ellipse “Zebra” from the Rare Handcrafts line, the motif is engraved and lacquered on both sides of a sapphire crystal plate, then finished with black metallization and white varnish to create remarkable depth and texture. Against this dynamic backdrop, the applied Breguet numerals and slender rose gold leaf hands lend a refined counterpoint.
The 28.6 × 40.85 mm rose gold case is set with 94 spessartites arranged in a gradient from deep cognac to vivid tangerine. Paired with a white satin-finished calfskin strap and the polished gleam of a rose gold buckle, the Gondolo Serata “Zebra” is both daring and unmistakably Patek.
