Perrelet turns to imperial France for the Joséphine Collection, a tribute to Napoleon’s first Empress. Joséphine was admired not only for her grace and refinement, but also for her role as a patron of the arts and style icon of her time. This heritage finds expression in the Double Rotor, transformed here into a sparkling cascade of diamonds radiating from the centre like fireworks. The result is a dial that seems alive, catching the light in constantly shifting patterns with every movement.
The Joséphine watches are housed in a 36.5 mm titanium case, a material that ensures both lightness and resilience. The bezel is offered in two versions, either polished to a mirror shine or encircled with 64 diamonds. Five dial colours evoke imperial elegance: white mother-of-pearl, deep Saxon blue, soft boudoir pink, imperial green, and a velvet black reminiscent of Napoleonic finery. Faceted rhodium-plated hour markers complete the display, but the true spectacle remains the restless dance of the Double Rotor.
Inside beats the P-181-H, an automatic calibre developed in-house specifically for this configuration. Its slender 4.9 mm profile belies the complexity within: 100 components, 26 jewels, and a 42-hour power reserve. Finishing details such as circular graining and Côtes de Genève bridges confirm its haute horlogerie pedigree. The bracelet, a polished-satin titanium construction, offers comfort while retaining elegance, with the option of a colour-matched leather strap for variety.
