Perrelet’s Weekend collection has always thrived on restraint, and the new Arctic Dunes is no exception, though it does bring a few thoughtful twists. Created with Arabic-speaking collectors in mind, the watch replaces conventional numerals with Arabic-Indian script, their rounded forms lending an unexpected softness to the dial. Limited to 99 pieces, Arctic Dunes looks to winter landscapes for inspiration, channeling the calm, reflective quality of snow-covered mountains.
The ice-blue dial is where the watch quietly earns its keep. Subtly embossed to mimic wind-shaped snowdrifts, it catches the light in a way that feels organic rather than decorative. Raised silver numerals float cleanly above the surface, and a simple date window at three keeps things practical. It’s a colour and texture combination that feels contemporary without trying too hard.
Housed in a slim 39mm stainless steel case, the watch wears easily and works across a range of wrists. Through the sapphire caseback, Perrelet’s in-house P-321 automatic movement offers solid finishing and a 42-hour power reserve.
