Everything starts with love! Raketa’s “Big Love” timepiece presents a fresh perspective on femininity, portraying a watch not just as an accessory but as a reflection of mood and emotion, synonymous with love.

The “Big Love” encapsulates the core essence of Raketa’s ‘Big Zero’ design philosophy: everything commences from zero. The hands of the Raketa ‘Big Love’ move circle, forming the word ‘LOVE,’ and every time the hour hand aligns with the prominent ‘0’ (or in this instance, the capital letter ‘O’), it signifies a new beginning with love at its core.

Featuring a timeless black and white dial design and offering four distinct leather strap colors, the Raketa ‘Big Love’ complements any style and mood. The straps, delivered with the watch, are white, vibrant reddish-orange, pastel pink, and blue, accentuate your individuality whether you opt for casual or classic attire. Swapping straps to match your outfit or mood is a breeze thanks to the quick-change strap system.

The case-back of the “Big Love” offers a glimpse of the exquisite Raketa automatic movement, crafted entirely in Saint Petersburg by the Raketa Watch Factory.

The Raketa ‘Big Love’ is limited to only 200 models this year.

Raketa "Big Love" 0295

Raketa’s story begins in 1961 in Petrodvorets, near Saint Petersburg, as a successor to the Imperial Peterhof Factory established in 1721. The name “Raketa” (Russian for “Rocket”) was inspired by Yuri Gagarin’s historic spaceflight aboard Vostok 1 in April 1961. This marked a turning point, as Raketa watches became symbols of innovation and industrial prowess. They were produced for civilians and specialized purposes, including military use and Arctic expeditions. During its peak in the 1970s, Raketa was among the world’s largest watch manufacturers, producing around five million mechanical watches annually. Iconic models like the “Big Zero,” celebrated for its clean and minimalist design, garnered global acclaim.

After the fall of the Soviet Union, Raketa faced challenges adapting to a market economy. The brand’s fortunes changed in 2010 when David Henderson-Stewart, an English entrepreneur with a passion for watchmaking, spearheaded its revival. Under his leadership, Raketa embraced modern production methods while preserving its heritage, creating in-house movements, and maintaining its iconic design ethos. Today, Raketa continues to produce high-quality mechanical watches with a unique blend of tradition and innovation.
