On New Year’s Eve, Raketa opened the door to something quietly magical. The Golden Key is a limited series of 300 watches inspired by The Adventures of Buratino, where a simple key grants access to a world of possibility. Here, that idea becomes tangible. The key is a symbol but also the very tool used to wind the watch, a gentle reminder that time and intention are closely linked.
The case sets the tone immediately. Made from natural walnut wood and sealed with protective varnish, it references a rare and largely forgotten chapter of Raketa’s twentieth century production. The warm grain of the wood plays beautifully against the matte, coarse textured dial and bold convex indexes. Through the open case back, the manually wound calibre 2609 is on display, produced entirely in house, a rarity that continues to define Raketa’s quiet credibility.
Completing the story is the golden winding key, attached to a burgundy leather cord and wearable as a charm or bracelet. It is a small but thoughtful detail that reinforces the watch’s central idea. With only 300 pieces made, each Golden Key feels like a personal ritual waiting to begin.
