The Raketa Pilot continues the brand’s legacy of making watches designed for demanding professions. Drawing inspiration from the early 20th-century aviator timepieces, Raketa’s new model revives the purposeful simplicity of those early instruments. The original pilot watches were utilitarian, built with clarity and durability in mind, large numerals, wide hands, and clean dials for maximum readability in flight. Raketa has embraced this minimalism, guided by the philosophy of avoiding anything unnecessary.
The design balances classic pilot watch design with Raketa’s distinct style. The stainless-steel case features polished and satin finishes that give it a sharp, refined look, extended by a solid bracelet that enhances its bold, masculine feel. For added versatility, a leather strap is also included. Practicality remains a priority: the screw-in crown ensures water resistance up to 200 meters.
Legibility in any light is ensured through Super-LumiNova-coated markers and hands, while the dial’s matte black background and yellow second hand enhance visibility. The sapphire crystal is treated with a double anti-reflective coating to reduce glare. Powering the watch is Raketa’s in-house automatic movement, made entirely at their historic St. Petersburg factory.
