Squale and Drass Underwater Technologies renew their partnership with a watch shaped by the world of submarines the Squale DRASS SAVER. Created for specialists working inside these formidable underwater vessels it arrives as a tough purpose built release with a design that reflects real life operational needs. The project brings together Swiss expertise in professional dive watches and Italian mastery in submarine engineering resulting in a piece that feels closely connected to the environments it was built for.
The watch takes inspiration from the SAVER system a cutting edge rescue platform used by modern naval forces including the Italian Navy. This system combines a rescue vehicle a rescue capsule a ventilation module an operational ROV capable of reaching 600 meters and a portable launch and recovery unit ready for deployment when rapid response is critical. Following the earlier DRASS Periscope model released first to submarine crews and later to the public the collaboration now advances with the DRASS SAVER reinforcing a shared focus on reliability innovation and technical purpose.
For this edition Squale selected its historic Master case in brushed steel with the crown set at three o’clock and fitted with a red O ring for quick visual confirmation of security while maintaining water resistance to 50 ATM and proven capability beyond that depth. Military influence appears in the steel Bund bezel and the black dial carries the yellow DRASS SAVER emblem echoed on the hands and BGW9 lume. The watch is delivered with a custom leather strap with yellow stitching and a black Von Büren Pro rubber strap presented in a rugged water and shock resistant case.
